Our small team has well over 20 years’ combined experience in the design, development, testing and qualification of protective systems. As well as the design, analysis and forensic reverse engineering of projectiles and novel threats, Precision Ballistics Laboratories offers a unique range of capabilities to the UK Test & Evaluation market.

Initially setup in 2019, we are excited to finally open our new range to customers! On the doorstep of the UK Defence Academy at Shrivenham UK. PBL offers ballistic testing and certification services for traditional threats, fragmentation and novel threats. These include all standard ballistic test methods such as, EN1063/1522/1523, PAS300 / VSAG / VPAM, STANAG 4569 / AEP55, STANAG/AEP 2920, NIJ 0108.01 (Protective Materials), 0106.01 (Helmets), 0101.06 (Body Armour) as well as tailored customer requirements..

We understand the standards, the threats and materials and can advise on testing pitfalls or design weaknesses to help you deliver the best product possible #experience . With care, attention to detail and careful measurement of every aspect of your test we aim to stand by the #Precision in our name.

A PBL Speciality is high velocity and unusual projectile launch and we have capability for (small) gun launched IED fragments in approaching 2000m/s and irregular / debris type projectiles up to 75mm (up to 200mm on special request).

PBL also conducts and manages blast and grenade trials for standard threats such as DM51, DM31, DTG-5.
