PBL specialise in impact and ballistics, offering discreet, secure and efficient testing services. Based adjacent to the prestigious UK Defence Academy in the picturesque village of Shrivenham, Oxfordshire; our gated site is easily accessible by road from London, Bristol and Oxford. For international clients and those who do not wish to observe testing, we can accept postal samples for testing, return or secure disposal.

We pride ourselves on our comfortable and clean, climate controlled laboratory which is equipped for the full range of body armour, helmet and visor testing including stab, slash and spike tests (under commission). Falling weight drop towers allow us to conduct blunt trauma testing and our ballistic facility is capable of firing up to 14.5mm armour piercing projectiles and STANAG 4569 fragmentation. Additionally we are well equipped for scientific instrumentation, highspeed video and TV filming.
