Based adjacent to the prestigious UK Defence Academy in the picturesque village of Shrivenham, Oxfordshire PBL is a specialist in impact and ballistics. Discreet, secure and efficient our gated site is easily accessible road from London, Bristol and Oxford. For international clients and those who do wish to observe testing we can accept postal samples for testing, return or secure disposal.

We pride ourselves on our comfortable and clean, climate controlled laboratory which is equipped for the full range of body armour, helmet and visor testing including stab, slash and spike tests (under commission). Falling weight drop towers allow us to conduct blunt trauma testing and our ballistic facility is capable of firing up to 14.5mm armour piercing projectiles and STANAG 4569 fragmentation. Additionally we are well equipped for scientific instrumentation, highspeed video and TV filming.
